JEE Advanced 2026 is the highest-level engineering entrance examination in India for admission to undergraduate programs offered by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). It is conducted once a year by one of the IITs on a rotational basis under the guidance of the Joint Admission Board (JAB).
Only candidates who qualify JEE Main 2026 and meet the category-wise cutoff criteria are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced.
Overview of JEE Advanced 2026
JEE Advanced is designed to test a candidate’s in-depth understanding of concepts, logical reasoning ability, and analytical problem-solving skills in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
The examination is significantly more challenging than JEE Main and focuses on the application of concepts rather than direct formula-based questions.
